Course duration: 5 days (Monday to Friday)
Time: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm (lunch one hour)
- Up to 4 students per course for an individual approach to each student;
- Аll materials and gravers are included in the course;
- The course is conducted in English and Russian languages.
Course Requirements:
For experienced setters who have completed the Starting course on setting the hand and working with the pneumatic system or Beginner Micropave Setting or have the skills to work under a microscope with a micromotor and a pneumatic engraver.
Course program:
- Set up Workbench (Microscope, Air system)
- Making special Tools (gravers, hammers, pushers)
- Principles of the initial stage of preparing a sitting site
- Basic principles of setting stones of different shapes (Round, oval, pear shape, marquis, square) 4-6 prong settings, double prongs, bezel setting
- Types of prong shapes and designs (Rounded, Flat, smooth claw, faceted claw, V-prong)
- Restoring defects using laser soldering !!! This is not a full laser soldering course, but a visual demonstration of the basic techniques for eliminating defects and a little practical work.
